The store continues to be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized daily, as has been our protocol since the onset of the pandemic in March. Hawthorne Valley’s main priority is the health and safety of their team and the customers we serve. We have taken extraordinary steps to keep everyone as safe as possible. Rest assured that we are following and exceeding all the guidelines set by the CDC regarding COVID-19, which include regular sanitation of commonly used surfaces, a strict facial covering requirement throughout the building, and social distancing when possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

The Fair Pricing System creates a middle ground between emergency food and full priced grocery stores - allowing more people to feed themselves with dignity by choosing the price they can afford. While RG19's Fair Pricing System does not replace the emergency food system, the COVID-19 Pandemic has underscored the crucial role that it can play in increasing food for vulnerable residents of the county, while also prioritizing local farms and producers 🛒🥬

In May of this year, RG19 rolled out a new, rural distribution program to better serve low-income households and community members at risk of food insecurity through Columbia County. Since then, nearly 400 rural distribution orders have been filled, 65% of which were purchased at the lowest-priced tier. While rural distribution began with door-to-door delivery, it has already expanded to include a curbside pick-up option in New Lebanon.
